The library was developed by Matia Simovich (INHALT & Jupiter Rising) to exude thecharacteristic and moody sound that only an OB analog synth can provide. Everything from Prince-like stabs, long pad bursts, and punchy unison basses have been expertly sampled to provide an organic playing experience within the MPC workflow. The emphasis with this library is capturing the distinct and uniquely analog character of this classic polysynth while also making a diverse set of patches that are all production ready and encompass every sound needed to take your song to the finish line. Also included is a comprehensive classic drum kit, and, when combined with the synth patches, gives birth to the OB SYSTEM.

Forever intertwined with the sounds of Rap/Hip-Hop, there isn’t one pervasive sound that defined the era, but more so an emphasis on eclectic style blending. A rapid parallel evolution in artistry and music technology ensued in a short period of time, propelling us on a journey from the organic dusty breaks of Golden Era Hip-Hop to New Jack Swing to iconoclasts like Sade coupled with the meteoric rise of the Dirty South, retrofitted Neo Soul stylings, and the arrival of the Shiny Suit Era, where Hip-Hop moguls and superstar divas were born.
